There has been quite an uproar in the last couple of days about a tee shirt being sold on an internet store - it's pretty heinous - "Save a dog, euthanize a breeder".  Nice thought, eh? This promotes murder, plain and simple and yet animal rights activists proudly proclaim they are NOT violent? Right. There is also a new ad being run on MSNBC (my favorite channel - I'm horrified) - it's by meatout.org! It promotes veganism as a healthy, compassionate choice. It also basically says that anyone who doesn't choose such a lifestyle is a killing machine!

That brings me to a charming fellow by the name of Gary Yourofsky. I am not going to say anything about Mr. Yourofsky, I'm going to let him speak for himself. I am simply going to post some of his basic information from HIS website. These are things he proudly posts on his own website. I leave any judgements about Mr. Yourofsky to those who read it.

This person has been invited to speak at Elementary Schools, Middle Schools and High Schools across the country. He plainly states that violence is part and parcel of "animal liberation". Make no mistake - he doesn't want to see that animals are well cared for - he wants them "free"!

Do you know who your children are being exposed to? Are they being given HSUS free "newsletter "KIND NEWS"? It's being given to YOUR schools as an educational newsletter - propaganda, pure and simple.

Whoopi Goldberg, one of the hosts on the View, was crucified because she claimed she had the right to shop for a pet in a pet store. She's RIGHT! When we allow the law to take that choice away, we allow the likes of Gary Yourofsky and the authors of Save a dog, Euthanize a Breeder to win! These are the people who are trying to pass a law in Vermont that will make YOU a felon for owning more than FIVE dogs - you'll be classified as a HOARDER! They are the same people who made it illegal for an owner of a dog to have what was a legal procedure (bark softening) performed. This is serious stuff - we must start fighting back. We cannot throw someone who could be a potential ally like Whoopi Goldberg under the bus under the guise of "responsible breeding"!

We can no longer afford to play Us and Them. I've never been much of a proponent of the enemy of my enemy is my friend, but I'm rapidly moving in that direction! Don't let them win, don't let THEM take our animals away.
